One Chuan Grove sits in an estate that has had decades to settle, which means the amenities around it are the ones that survived. This page sets out what is within reach for shopping, food, recreation, schooling and healthcare.
Junction 8 at Bishan, 1.17 kilometres from the site, is the nearest full-sized mall and does the weekly work — supermarket, cinema, banks, clinics and the usual retail spread. It is one stop west on the Circle Line, or a short drive.
Serangoon, one stop the other way, brings NEX, among the larger suburban malls in the North-East, sitting directly above the Serangoon interchange. Between the two, a household at One Chuan Grove has two substantial centres within a single train stop in opposite directions, which is an unusually comfortable position for an estate this quiet.
Closer to home, myVillage at Serangoon Garden and the shophouse parades around Serangoon Gardens supply the independent end — bakeries, specialist grocers, restaurants and the long-standing Chomp Chomp hawker centre.
New Tech Park across Chuan Grove carries the weekday food and convenience trade that follows a working population, which is convenient for residents without generating evening noise. The coffee shops and provision shops of the older Chuan and Serangoon streets handle the rest.
Chuan Lane Park, 110 metres from the boundary, is a neighbourhood green of the kind that gets used daily rather than visited. Kallang Linear Park follows the river on the far side of the expressway, linking north towards Bishan–Ang Mo Kio Park and south through the park connector network. Serangoon West Neighbourhood Park lies east towards the station, and Bishan Sports Centre is within a short run for a pool and a gym.
St. Gabriel’s Primary School is 380 metres away and Kuo Chuan Presbyterian Secondary School 520 metres. Stamford American’s Early Learning Village is 130 metres along Chuan Lane and the Australian International School is on Lorong Chuan itself; MindChamps at Serangoon is 150 metres from the site, and Nanyang Junior College lies east towards Serangoon. The schools guide covers the catchment in full.
General practice and dental clinics are distributed through Junction 8, NEX and the surrounding shophouse parades. For hospital care, Mount Alvernia Hospital lies west towards Thomson and Tan Tock Seng Hospital is reachable along the Central Expressway.
Registration is how the project material reaches you on the day the developer issues it, and it is the list the Sales Concierge works through first when preview appointments open.
